Burleson’s award-winning short stories have appeared or will be appearing over two dozen literary journals and anthologies to date, including The London Reader, The New Guard, and American Fiction 14 and 16. His novel, Ahnwee Days (Blackwater Press), the story of a small town that has seen better days and the mayor who tries to save it, is coming in 2024. Burleson has also been published extensively in non-fiction, most notably his book, Bi America (Haworth Press, 2005), as well as for the Hennepin History Magazine and numerous other publications. However, his focus of attention over the past few years has been as founding editor for Flexible Press, LLC, Minneapolis, publisher of a wide range of award-winning literary fiction.
